Lyssa Makes Every Weapon Sexy!!
I never knew Lyssa was this awesome for weapon use. Which profession is she the symbol for again? Balthazar may be super tank, but Lyssa is to him as Athena is to Aries.
In mythology,Athena was better in combat with weapons, though he was the God of War.
Bottom line, she owns with any weapon build due to her effect against attacks. I've used sword this morning. Next, its axe, but daggers were kinda scary. Especially when I used Blessed Aura in PvE. Weapons and Lyssa, what have you used, and what do you think?

Lyssa is amazing.
I use her with a scythe actually, and quick activation attacks such as
[skill]mystic sweep[/skill][skill]eremite's attack[/skill][skill]protector's strike[/skill]
lowering weapon mastery to 12 to use daggers, swords or axes looks like a waste to me.

really, the only other viable weapon to use is daggers and that's because of double strikes. the rest isn't worth it at all.
hammers? +damage won't ever activate because the foe will be on ground
sword pressure? no ty
axe spike? possibly, but in theory i'd doubt it.
bows? lawl can probably make a mean spike and for DPS it's surely terrible.
PS dwayna tank > balth tank.

Well, it works decently with a scythe and short activation time skills, but it is definately at it's most effective with daggers. AoM is just so sexy for using with a scythe

I've been using a Marksmanship Lyssa build in PVE for awhile, for when I get lazy and just want to hang back. But daggers, you say? Interesting..
Anyway, Mesmers are Lyssa's posse, to answer that question. And most of Vabbi, it seems.

Mokone speaks the truth imo. A hammer is very weak if you don't cause knockdowns, specially considering its only method of a deep wound is through a knockdown. For the Sword and Axe, your relying on adrenaline again and that a foe is using a skill, or your alot worse than a warrior. Dagger... you have high energy combos, using Zealous Vow you could effectively spam them for all eternity, but without Critical Strikes you have no real form of energy management and auto-attack damage on daggers is pathetic, even when buffed with Lyssa. Bows, you've got to be kidding, a bow attacks slower than the Dervish normally does (assuming you actually want to hit your target and stay at range).
Scythe... why exactly are you passing up the chance to hit upto 3 foes at once, using spammable attack skills (within reason), with a weapon with extremely high damage. Lets be honest... a normal scythe attack that criticals will do more than a regular Dagger attack with Lyssa. And Wild Blow is a very nice skill.

I agree with Evilsod. Scythes have the highest damage of any weapon in the game. You can also rune up to 16 scythe, while with daggers you're stuck at 12. The chance to double strike does NOT compare to the insane attack speed provided by spamming Eremite's and Mystic. If you have Razah or another human player as a ritualist, great, but I think that running 1 character just for Splinter Weapon is worth it. The other 2 dervishes are warrior secondary for more dps and stance removal. I can see Whirlwind Attack kicking butt here too.

Add an order spammer + Mark of Pain to the party and you're set. Not sure if Aura of Holy Might works with orders or not. I don't think Elementalists even with the new PvE skills have anything on this kind of damage.

Well, a good SF/MS/Liquid Flame ele will suffice as a good mix. Well, to be honest, you get a good tank, and a good ele togather and enemies begin dropping like flies running into a zapper. Looks like if these three, plus a good ele, and a good monk team it up; they'd wreck the zone up pretty quicks. I foresee unstoppable with 2 monks, and 2 eles, and 3 dervs, and maybe 1 decent SS tossed in for good luck.

OMIGOSH, your right, Zealous Vow is elite. Jesh's builds are therefore void.
Scythes are the best for Avatar of Lyssa, due to it's high auto attack damage and 1/2 sec attacks.
Daggers are good, but I'd rather rely on a real assassin for that.

Seems to make sense that she would work well as D/A weilding daggers.

Ok, my point wasn't to say which weapon she wields better, but the usual suspects show up and turned it into which weapon is better anyway. Sword skills with adrenaline have no drawback with Lyssa, since the skill states:
[skill=big]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill]
This makes adrenaline and energy skills, as well as auto attacking dangerous to the enemy in question. Though, I can say the auto attacking thought is abit questionable and flimsy at best. Yet, I can say with great confidence that:
[skill=card]Barbarous Slice[/skill][skill=card]Gash[/skill][skill=card]Final Thrust[/skill] or [skill=card]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill] make for a deadly combo with Lyssa.
